What we do

Australia’s North West Expo is the premier showcase for business, education and industry in the economically vital North West corner of Australia.

Held annually in Broome, Western Australia, Expo is a not for profit event that encompasses industry, companies, community groups and government agencies from the Pilbara and Kimberley to promote their achievements and their contribution to our unique region.

In 2012 Australia’s North West Expo will hold its 10th annual event. Over 6,500 visitors and prospective clients visit North West Expo every year.

Hosting a range of businesses, community organisations and government departments in a specifically designed temporary exhibition site allows small and locally operating businesses to build their profile alongside large corporations and network with those tendering in the region to provide local services and solutions. 

The event strives to create an inclusive forum through concept areas that encourage the harmonious presentation of a diverse range of social and business agendas. 

These concept areas contribute to community wellbeing and deliver lasting benefits and ideals by demonstrating the value of volunteering, community participation and inclusion through local groups and associations. 

The overall objectives of the North West Expo are to:

  • Encourage businesses from all of the North West including the Pilbara and the Kimberley to exhibit
  • Build a long term and sustainable future for small business in the region
  • Offer networking opportunities between business and industry groups & government authorities to assist with business growth
  • Showcase local business, industry, employment, tourism, recreation, the arts, social and cultural opportunities in the North West of Australia
  • Assist people in marketing their businesses
  • Provide opportunities for employers to engage directly with local youth seeking employment and training
  • Provide opportunities for the community to freely access a range of information and services that encourages a better lifestyle
