Careers Day
Over 200 secondary students participated in Try a Trade at Careers Day in 2011 that included: beauty therapy; building & construction; defence force; filming, media and journalism; horticulture; hospitality; pastoral and veterinary; planning and earthmoving; resources; visual arts; where students received hands-on experience in various trades.
What is Try-A-Trade?
- Try-A-Trade is a fantastic opportunity for students to have a hands-on experience of different trades that operate in the region.
- Try-A-Trade is designed to help students make the best possible choice for their future career. Experienced tradespeople, apprentices and trainees will be on hand to discuss the skills of their trade, the rewards of the job and the study needed to get there.
