What is North West Expo?
Our VISION: It is an invitation for all business people, cultures, communities and community groups to promote themselves, and be a part of the promotion of the North West as a valuable, exciting and beautiful area in which to live, work and play. It showcases business, industry, employment, education, arts, tourism, recreation, social and cultural opportunities in, and for, this vast, remote and growing region." |
North West Expoin its current format, was first held in 2003 at the Broome Turf Club. In 2004 the event moved to a new venue - Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre (BRAC) and 130 exhibitors from Kimberley, Pilbara, Northern Territory, Perth and Eastern States exhibited. Registrations were again at capacity in 2008. The venue allows for approximately 75 indoor stadium sites, with the balance of sites being outdoors. The event attracts approximately 6,000 people over two days. As well as providing very important opportunities for businesses and industries in the region, the Expo promotes regional talent and multicultural displays. There are competitions, demonstrations, entertainment and a fun fair to ensure that the whole family is entertained. There are a number of exhibits including Home Improvements, Lifestyle & Family interests, Careers & Education, Primary Industries, Retail, Investment, Craft and Hospitality. A variety of food vendors and a licensed bar is available over the two days. |
